Freshservice Alternative: How Infronest Compares

Freshservice is a polished, quick-to-deploy ITSM product with a strong feature set. Teams look for alternatives when per-agent pricing scales awkwardly, or when they want the helpdesk to sit inside the platform that actually manages their infrastructure.

Infronest is an all-in-one IT management platform: 19 modules — monitoring, IT assets, helpdesk, device management, patch management, RMM and VAPT — in a single tenant-isolated workspace. See all modules →

What Freshservice is known for

Freshservice (Freshworks) is a cloud ITSM and helpdesk platform with incident, problem, change and asset capabilities, priced per agent.

Choose Freshservice if…

  • ITSM process maturity is your main requirement and you want a specialist
  • You have a small agent count and the per-agent price works for you
  • You are happy integrating monitoring and device tools separately

Choose Infronest if…

  • You want the ticket, the asset, the device and the alert in one system
  • Your agent count is growing and per-agent pricing is becoming the constraint
  • You want security testing and patching in the same workspace

When Freshservice is the right call

If ITSM process maturity is your main requirement, a specialist is a defensible choice. Freshservice has spent years refining approvals, change workflows and the requester experience, and its marketplace means an unusual integration need is often one installed app away rather than a feature request.

Per-agent pricing also genuinely suits some teams: a small, stable service desk with monitoring and device tools it already likes may find the seat price acceptable and the integration work already done. In that situation the case for consolidating is weaker, and Freshservice is a good product to stay on.

What consolidating actually changes day-to-day

The practical difference is context. In a standalone helpdesk, a ticket about a slow laptop is text; the technician pivots to a separate RMM or asset tool to see the machine. In Infronest the ticket links to the managed asset — its patch state, monitoring alerts and history — and remote desktop to that device is one click in the same workspace, via the platform's MeshCentral-based remote access.

The second difference is the audit trail. Access, changes, tickets and device actions land in one system, so answering "who touched this machine and why" does not require joining exports from three vendors. For teams that report to auditors or clients, that single trail is usually the change they notice most.

Security & compliance considerations

Infronest is multi-tenant with per-client isolation: each organisation's data, users and devices live in a tenant-isolated workspace, and remote access is isolated per organisation. Audit trails cover the helpdesk alongside device and access events.

For Indian organisations, Infronest is India-based and DPDP-aligned, which simplifies conversations about where service-desk data lives. The platform also includes a VAPT module with CVSS-scored findings and retest — security testing in the same workspace as the service desk, rather than a separate engagement with a separate report format.

Infronest platform tiers

  • Starter: ₹29,999/month flat
  • Professional: ₹49,999/month flat
  • Enterprise: ₹94,999+/month flat

Flat per plan — employees raise tickets free; device add-ons (MDM, patch) are per-device. Full pricing

Freshservice pricing

From $19 per agent/month, billed annually (Starter plan) source · verified 16 August 2026

Freshservice prices per agent seat: Starter at $19, Growth at $49 and Pro at $99 per agent/month billed annually, with a custom-priced Enterprise tier. Every technician who works tickets needs a seat, so the bill tracks the size of your IT team.

Infronest prices per tenant: flat platform tiers at ₹29,999 / ₹49,999 / ₹94,999+ per month cover all 17 modules for the whole team, with per-device add-on SKUs (MDM ₹300–700 per user by tier, Endpoint Management ₹700 per user) only where device agents are deployed.

Neither model is universally better. A small, stable agent team can do well on per-seat pricing; a growing team, or one that also wants monitoring, device management and security testing, should model the flat tier against the sum of the tools it replaces. A 14-day free trial makes the Infronest side easy to test.

Migrating from Freshservice to Infronest

A helpdesk migration is a data-and-process exercise, not an agent rollout. Ticket history exports from Freshservice and imports into Infronest via CSV as closed records, so audit continuity and searchable context survive the move. What does not carry over automatically is configuration: queues, SLA policies, automation rules and the service catalogue are rebuilt in Infronest — most teams treat this as a chance to prune years of accumulated workflow debt rather than copy it forward.

Plan a short parallel-run. Keep Freshservice receiving mail while Infronest is configured and tested, then switch the support address and portal link in a single cutover window. The main risk is requester confusion, not data loss — announce the new portal before the switch, and keep the old export archived.

  1. Export tickets, requesters, assets and the service catalogue from Freshservice (CSV or API exports).
  2. Recreate agent accounts, groups, queues and SLA policies in Infronest — prune rules nobody uses.
  3. Import ticket history via CSV so closed tickets remain searchable for audits and context.
  4. Rebuild the automations you actually rely on: assignment rules, escalations, canned responses.
  5. Parallel-run for one to two weeks — new tickets land in Infronest while Freshservice stays read-only.
  6. Cut over the support email address and portal URL, then archive the Freshservice export for compliance.

What you lose by switching

Freshservice is a mature ITSM specialist, and leaving it has real costs beyond the migration effort. Weigh these honestly:

  • ITIL process polish. Freshservice's change approval, problem and workflow tooling has years of refinement; Infronest covers incidents, requests, change, problem, service catalogue and CMDB, but a specialist's depth in edge-case process configuration is hard to match feature-for-feature.
  • The Freshworks Marketplace. A large catalogue of ready-made third-party apps and integrations disappears; Infronest covers common needs natively but has no comparable app store.
  • Freddy AI. Freshworks' documented AI assistant features across ticketing do not have a one-for-one equivalent in Infronest.
  • The wider Freshworks family. If you also run Freshdesk, Freshchat or Freshsales, moving the service desk out breaks a natively integrated product suite.
  • A large pool of admins and consultants already trained on Freshservice, plus its community and certification ecosystem.

Freshservice alternative FAQ

For the core service desk — incidents, requests, change, problem, service catalogue, CMDB, SLAs and asset-linked tickets — yes. If deep ITIL process maturity and Freshworks Marketplace apps are central to how you operate, Freshservice remains the stronger specialist there. What Infronest adds is that the helpdesk sits beside monitoring, device management, patching and VAPT in the same tenant.
Yes — ticket history imports via CSV as closed records, so past tickets stay searchable for audits and context. Automations, marketplace apps and workflow configuration do not migrate automatically and are rebuilt in Infronest.
Infronest is priced per tenant: flat platform tiers from ₹29,999 per month cover all 17 modules for the whole team, so adding a technician does not change the bill. Per-device add-ons apply only where device agents are deployed.
Yes — MDM for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android sits in the same platform, so a ticket links to the managed device behind it. iOS/iPadOS is not supported today; if you manage iPhones or iPads you would keep a separate tool for those.
Yes: incidents, requests, change, problem, a service catalogue and a CMDB are included, with SLA policies and asset links. Freshservice's ITIL tooling is more mature in places — evaluate your specific change workflow against both during a trial rather than assuming parity.
Yes — a 14-day free trial covering the platform, so you can test the helpdesk together with monitoring, device management and the other modules against your real workload before deciding.
