NinjaOne Alternative: How Infronest Compares

NinjaOne is a modern, well-liked RMM platform with strong patching and automation. Teams look for alternatives when they want the surrounding IT functions — helpdesk, assets, security testing — in the same platform rather than integrated alongside it.

Infronest is an all-in-one IT management platform: 19 modules — monitoring, IT assets, helpdesk, device management, patch management, RMM and VAPT — in a single tenant-isolated workspace. See all modules →

What NinjaOne is known for

NinjaOne provides endpoint monitoring, patch management, remote access and automation, priced per endpoint and popular with MSPs and internal IT teams.

NinjaOne capabilities verified: 16 August 2026, from NinjaOne’s public documentation. Capabilities reflect what each vendor publicly documents and may change as products evolve.

Choose NinjaOne if…

  • RMM is your core need and you already have a PSA and helpdesk you like
  • You want a specialist RMM vendor with a large partner ecosystem
  • Per-endpoint pricing suits your device-to-technician ratio

Choose Infronest if…

  • You want RMM, helpdesk, assets and VAPT under one subscription
  • You would rather not integrate four vendors to run one client
  • You need per-client isolation across every module, not just endpoints

When NinjaOne is the right call

If RMM is your core need and you already run a PSA and helpdesk you like, NinjaOne is a strong place to be. Its patching and automation are genuinely good, the partner ecosystem is large, and the integrations to established PSA tools are mature — replacing a working RMM purely on principle is rarely worth the disruption.

Per-endpoint pricing can also fit well when your device-to-technician ratio is low or your volumes earn meaningful discounts. If your quote comes back favourable and the surrounding toolchain is already paid for and integrated, staying is a rational choice.

What consolidating RMM, helpdesk and security testing changes

The day-to-day difference is fewer swivel-chairs. An alert becomes a ticket in the same system; the ticket links to the managed asset with its patch state and history; remote desktop to that device is in the same workspace. Nothing in that chain crosses a vendor boundary, so nothing is lost to a missing or broken integration.

The structural difference is scope: Infronest adds IT asset lifecycle (procurement, assignment, transfers, licences, disposal) and a VAPT module with CVSS-scored findings and retest — functions that sit outside an RMM's remit entirely and are usually bought as separate products or engagements.

Per-client isolation and compliance

For MSPs, isolation is the detail worth checking hardest. In Infronest every module is tenant-isolated per client — devices, tickets, assets, monitoring and remote access — and remote sessions are isolated per organisation, so one client's technicians and data never share a workspace with another's.

Infronest is India-based and DPDP-aligned, with audit trails across access, changes and tickets. For teams serving Indian clients, that combination — data posture plus a single audit trail per client tenant — is often the deciding factor rather than any single RMM feature.

  • Starter: ₹29,999/month flat

NinjaOne pricing

NinjaOne does not publish a simple list price for this comparison (quote-based or frequently changing tiers) — check their site for current figures.

NinjaOne prices per endpoint and quotes case-by-case: its pricing page describes volume-discounted per-device rates that vary by region and by which products you buy, with the actual number coming from a sales quote rather than a public price list.

Infronest publishes its pricing: flat platform tiers at ₹29,999 / ₹49,999 / ₹94,999+ per month for all 17 modules, plus per-device add-on SKUs where agents are deployed (Endpoint Management ₹700 per user, MDM ₹300–700 per user by tier).

A per-endpoint model tracks fleet size closely and rewards large volumes; a flat platform model gives cost certainty as you turn on more modules. Model both against your actual endpoint count and module needs — and get the NinjaOne quote in writing so the comparison is real.

Migrating from NinjaOne to Infronest

An RMM migration is an agent swap, and the safe pattern is a parallel-run: the Infronest agent installs alongside the NinjaOne agent, so no device goes dark while you compare what each platform sees. Be honest about what does not move — historical monitoring data, the script library and automation policies are rebuilt in Infronest, not imported, and that rebuild is where the real project time goes.

Patching deserves its own dry run. Map your current patch approvals to Infronest patch rings (Windows and Linux focus) and let at least one full patch cycle complete on a pilot group before you cut over the wider fleet. Remote access should be verified per device class through Infronest's MeshCentral-based remote desktop before the old agent comes off.

  1. Export the device inventory and documentation from NinjaOne so you can reconcile against it later.
  2. Deploy the Infronest agent alongside the NinjaOne agent — they coexist, so nothing goes unmonitored.
  3. Rebuild monitoring policies and alert thresholds, then compare alert streams for one to two weeks.
  4. Recreate your key automations and scripts in Infronest — prioritise the ones that fire weekly, not the long tail.
  5. Map patch approvals to Infronest patch rings and complete one full cycle on a pilot ring.
  6. Uninstall the NinjaOne agent in waves once each device group is confirmed healthy in Infronest.

What you lose by switching

NinjaOne is a strong RMM, and switching away has specific, real costs. Anyone who tells you an RMM migration is free is selling something:

  • The automation and script library. NinjaOne's catalogue of ready-made remediations and its scripting depth are a core strength; Infronest does not match it one-for-one, and your most-used automations will be rebuilt by hand.
  • iOS/iPadOS management. NinjaOne's MDM covers Apple mobile devices; Infronest manages Windows, macOS, Linux and Android only, so iPhone and iPad fleets need a separate tool.
  • NinjaOne Backup. Its integrated backup product has no direct Infronest equivalent — you would keep it or replace it separately.
  • PSA integrations and the MSP partner ecosystem. NinjaOne's integrations with established PSA tools and its partner community are mature; Infronest's answer is a built-in helpdesk rather than a PSA bridge, which is a different shape, not a drop-in replacement.
  • Adjacent first-party products such as NinjaOne's vulnerability management and endpoint security offerings, if you use them today.

NinjaOne alternative FAQ

For core RMM — monitoring, patching, remote access and inventory on Windows, macOS and Linux — yes. Two gaps are real: NinjaOne's automation library is deeper, and its MDM covers iOS while Infronest does not. What Infronest adds is helpdesk, IT asset lifecycle and VAPT in the same tenant, so the honest comparison is one platform versus NinjaOne plus the tools around it.
Yes — Infronest includes an SLA-aware, asset-linked helpdesk in the same platform as RMM and patching, so tickets, devices and alerts share one workspace instead of an RMM-to-PSA integration.
Infronest has a dedicated patch module with ring deployment, focused on Windows and Linux. If your patching estate is mainly Windows servers and desktops plus Linux, it covers the job; validate your third-party application patching list during a trial before committing.
Partially. Infronest MDM manages Windows, macOS, Linux and Android devices — enrolment, policy and compliance. iOS/iPadOS is not supported today, so if Apple mobile devices matter, NinjaOne or a dedicated Apple MDM keeps that edge.
NinjaOne quotes per endpoint with volume discounts; Infronest publishes flat platform tiers from ₹29,999 per month for all 17 modules, plus per-device add-ons (Endpoint Management ₹700 per user, MDM ₹300–700 per user by tier). Run both against your device count — neither model wins universally.
Yes — Infronest is multi-tenant with per-client isolation across every module, not just endpoints: each client's devices, tickets, assets and remote access live in a tenant-isolated workspace, and remote sessions are isolated per organisation.
