Scalefusion Alternative: How Infronest Compares

Scalefusion is a well-regarded India-based device management platform, particularly strong on Android kiosk and frontline device deployments. Teams usually look for an alternative when device management is only one of several tools they are paying for.

Infronest is an all-in-one IT management platform: 19 modules — monitoring, IT assets, helpdesk, device management, patch management, RMM and VAPT — in a single tenant-isolated workspace. See all modules →

What Scalefusion is known for

Scalefusion focuses on mobile device and endpoint management, with notable depth in Android Device Owner, kiosk mode and rugged/frontline device scenarios.

Choose Scalefusion if…

  • Your primary need is Android kiosk, rugged or frontline device management at scale
  • You already have monitoring, helpdesk and asset tooling you are happy with
  • You need deep, mature MDM-specific features and nothing else

Choose Infronest if…

  • You are paying for device management, monitoring, helpdesk and asset tools separately
  • You want tickets, assets and devices to be one connected record instead of four systems
  • You need security testing (VAPT) alongside device management
  • You are an MSP wanting per-client isolation across every module, not just MDM

When Scalefusion is the right call

If your fleet is dominated by single-purpose Android devices — kiosks, rugged handhelds, delivery-rider phones, digital signage — Scalefusion is one of the strongest products in the market for exactly that. Its kiosk lockdown, managed browser and frontline tooling have years of maturity, and switching away buys you nothing on that specific problem.

The same is true if your estate leans Apple-mobile or ChromeOS. Infronest does not manage iOS, iPadOS or ChromeOS today, so a school full of iPads or Chromebooks is simply not our fight. And if you have already invested in Scalefusion’s OneIdP or Veltar companion products, the 360 suite’s pieces reinforce each other in a way a device-management-only migration would break.

The switch makes sense when device management is one line item among several: you also pay for monitoring, a helpdesk, an asset register or security testing, and each tool holds a partial copy of the truth. That is the consolidation case, and it is the only case we argue.

What consolidating actually changes day-to-day

The visible change is fewer consoles and one renewal. The useful change is that records connect: a ticket references the asset, the asset is the managed device, and the device’s patch level and vulnerabilities are on the same screen. Nobody re-keys a serial number between a UEM console and a helpdesk, and nobody exports a CSV to answer ‘which laptops are behind on patches and who is using them’.

For MSPs the practical difference is tenant isolation across every module, not just MDM: each client is a separate workspace covering their devices, tickets, assets, monitoring and VAPT findings, with remote desktop sessions isolated per organisation through the MeshCentral integration.

Security & compliance considerations

Consolidation changes your audit surface. With separate UEM, monitoring and helpdesk tools, an auditor’s evidence trail crosses three vendors and three export formats. In Infronest the trail stays in one tenant-isolated workspace: device compliance, patch state, ticket history and VAPT findings with CVSS scores and retest results are all first-class records.

Infronest is India-based and DPDP-aligned, which simplifies processor conversations for Indian organisations. The VAPT module also means the platform that manages your endpoints can run and document security testing against your estate — a capability Scalefusion, as a UEM vendor, does not offer and does not claim to.

Scalefusion pricing

Essentials plan from $2 per device/month ($24 billed annually) source · verified 16 August 2026

Scalefusion prices per device: the Essentials plan is listed at $2 per device/month, with Growth at $3.5, Business at $5 and Enterprise at $6 per device/month. Its pricing page states that all plans are billed annually only, with a minimum of 10 devices.

Infronest prices the platform flat — ₹29,999, ₹49,999 or ₹94,999+ per month for the whole workspace — with device management as a per-user add-on (MDM ₹300–700 per user by tier, Endpoint Management ₹700 per user). Monitoring, helpdesk, IT assets and the other modules sit inside the platform fee rather than adding per-device line items.

The structural difference matters more than any single number: a per-device bill scales linearly with fleet size, while a flat platform fee plus per-user add-ons scales with team size and covers the non-MDM tooling too. Run both models against your own device count and current tool list — the right answer depends on your estate, so we publish the models and let you compute.

Migrating from Scalefusion to Infronest

Be realistic about one thing first: no vendor can transfer an MDM enrolment. Device trust is established per management platform, so every device leaving Scalefusion has to re-enrol into Infronest — there is no shortcut, and any vendor that implies otherwise is glossing over it. Plan the move as a staged rollout over two to four weeks, not a switch you flip.

Android deserves special attention because it is Scalefusion’s strong suit. Fully managed (Device Owner) Android devices require a factory reset to change owner, so kiosk and frontline fleets should be re-provisioned in scheduled batches. Work-profile devices can drop the old profile and re-enrol without a full wipe, though work-container data is recreated fresh. Policies do not port either — restrictions, Wi-Fi, app rules and compliance checks are rebuilt in Infronest and verified on a pilot group before the wider fleet moves.

  1. Export your device inventory, app lists and policy documentation from the Scalefusion dashboard (CSV) — this is your migration record and your audit trail.
  2. Recreate core policies in Infronest first: restrictions, Wi-Fi, app allow/block lists and compliance rules. Policy objects do not transfer between MDM vendors.
  3. Pilot with 10–20 mixed devices — Windows, macOS and Linux via the Infronest agents, Android via Device Owner enrolment — and run one to two weeks in parallel with Scalefusion.
  4. Re-enrol in batches by site or department. Fully managed Android devices need a factory reset and fresh provisioning, so schedule those windows with the people who use them.
  5. Before Scalefusion seats lapse, export any compliance and audit reports you need for records — historical compliance data does not migrate.
  6. Decommission Scalefusion only after the last batch reports healthy in Infronest, and keep the inventory export as evidence of a clean handover.

What you lose by switching

Scalefusion is a genuinely good UEM product, and leaving it has real costs. Weigh these before you commit:

  • iOS and iPadOS management. Infronest manages Windows, macOS, Linux and Android — Apple mobile devices are not supported today, so an iPhone/iPad estate needs a separate tool or retained Scalefusion seats.
  • ChromeOS management, which Scalefusion offers and Infronest does not.
  • Kiosk depth. Scalefusion’s multi-app kiosk, ProSurf managed browser and rugged/frontline tooling are more mature than Infronest’s Device Owner kiosk support.
  • The wider Scalefusion 360 suite — OneIdP (identity/SSO) and Veltar (business VPN and Zero Trust access) — if you were using or planning to use those companion products.
  • Zero-touch enrolment maturity: Scalefusion’s Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager and Android Zero-touch integrations are long-established.

Scalefusion alternative FAQ

Infronest is not free, but it offers a 14-day free trial with the full platform — device management plus monitoring, helpdesk, assets, patching and VAPT. Free MDM tools exist but typically cap device counts or features; the honest comparison is trial-to-trial against your own fleet.
No. Infronest manages Windows, macOS, Linux and Android; iOS and iPadOS are not supported today. If Apple mobile devices are a large part of your fleet, keep a dedicated tool for them — Scalefusion included — and use Infronest for the rest of the estate and the surrounding IT operations.
Partly. Windows, macOS and Linux machines just unenrol and install the Infronest agent — no wipe. Android work-profile devices re-enrol without a full reset, but fully managed (Device Owner) Android devices require a factory reset to change management owner. That is an Android platform rule, not a vendor choice.
Infronest supports Android Device Owner enrolment, which covers locked-down corporate devices. Scalefusion’s kiosk tooling — multi-app kiosk and its managed browser — is deeper. If single-purpose kiosk fleets are your core use case, Scalefusion remains the specialist choice.
Everything around the devices: server, network and website monitoring, an SLA-aware helpdesk with tickets linked to assets, IT asset lifecycle management, a dedicated patch module for Windows and Linux, and a VAPT module with CVSS-scored findings and retests — 17 modules in one tenant-isolated workspace.
Yes. Both companies are India-based. Infronest is built DPDP-aligned, with tenant-isolated workspaces per organisation, which matters if your compliance obligations sit under Indian data protection law.
